OUR NEXT AUDITION CLINIC FOR OPERA SINGERS IS ON 24th JANUARY
Unexpected Opera is offering Audition Clinics for individuals at a special rate. This is because we are creating a new performance piece about opera singers and their art which will be built around personal stories. As research we'’d like to interview lots of singers, and in return for your interview we are offering a reduced price Audition Clinic with two experienced professionals (worth £60).
For the special rate of £45 you will receive:
- 30 minute 'tune-up' with vocal coach and ENO-trained repetiteur Rob Bottriell
- 30 minutes with Rob and Lynn Binstock, Artistic Director of Unexpected Opera, for a mock audition, followed by feedback and work on presentation. We will also review your CV and rep .

Following this, Lynn would like to interview you for another ½ hour about why you sing, and your experiences of study, auditions and performing. Your words and stories may or may not be included in the show, but everything you say will be anonymous.
Audition Clinics will be held in Putney, close to East Putney Underground and Putney Rail Station, on Tuesday afternoons and evenings.

Robert Bottriell , accompianist and vocal coach, is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Currently on the staff at both (and Trinity College of Music), Rob has worked for British Youth Opera, Opera Della Luna, Stanley Hall Opera, Kentish Opera, Unexpected Opera, and ENO Opera Works. Most recently Robert was part of the music staff for Albert Herring (TCM), Rigoletto (Iford Arts) and Le Nozze di Figaro (Co-Operative Opera Company).
